The Squadron

The Squadron draws its membership from current serving and retired CF members, as well as cadets and others who have a keen interest in Canada's Air Force history.

We perform in a variety of venues; from providing a sharp, historically correct marching contingent for various parades and ceremonies, to displaying air force artifacts and providing demonstrations for historical functions.

We currently train at the Canadian Air and Space Museum in Toronto (RCAF TORONTO), as well as the Oshawa Airport (RCAF OSHAWA).

We are proud supporters of the Canadian Air and Space Museum, National Air Force Museum of Canada and Air Force Association of Canada.

The Squadron is currently divided into two flights, supporting two major impressions: A Flight (Post-War impressions) and B Flight (WWII impressions).

A Flight

From 1945 unil 1968, the RCAF stood on the front lines of a hemisphere protecting its right to democracy and yet tends to receive nothing more than a historical footnote of recognition for its valuable work. For these reasons, we felt the need to create something that would indoctrinate the public on this era and complement the fond memories held by these worthy veterans. In short, we wanted to open a time capsule to reveal what is commonly referred to as "The Golden Era of The RCAF".

B Flight

From the outbreak of the Second World War, September 1939, the RCAF went through massive changes. At the start of the War the RCAF only had 230 aircraft of various types and the Squadrons to support and utlize these aircraft. However by the end of the War the RCAF was the fourth largest Allied Air Force. The cost to the RCAF throughout the War was 13,498 killed, 9919 while serving in Bomber Command.
